Joomla! logo This website is powered by Joomla!, a free software released under the GNU/GPL license. It turns out that some of the software and default templates on which it runs are Copyright 2005 Open Source Matters. The legal gobbledygook, then: if you want to distribute, copy or modify Joomla!, you are welcome to do so under the terms of the GNU General Public License. If you are unfamiliar with this license, you might want to read 'How To Apply These Terms To Your Program' and the 'GNU General Public License FAQ'.

But, guess what: all other content and data on this website, are Copyright © Serge Kobsa and the Saltzman Research Group at Yale University. That doesn't mean we won't share if you ask us nicely.

Copyleft symbol However, there's an important distinction: in contrast to the data and content, the custom code developed for this website, and certainly the template and the graphic design in their entirety, are Copyleft 2007 Serge Kobsa. No joke. If you don't know what copyleft is, look it up. That means you can get all of the source code and all the graphical images to use, study, copy, share them with others, change them and distribute the changed (and therefore derivative) works, under the conditions of the Copyleft licence. Most notably, this means all such modified and derived work must also be made available in its entirety, free of charge, under an identical Copyleft licence.

If you're interested, just drop us a note. Access to knowledge is always cool.
